PerioMed

Dental plaque is a thin, sticky film that occurs naturally on the tooth surface. Proper brushing, flossing and rinsing can remove or disrupt the normal daily accumulation of plaque to keep teeth and gums healthy.

This often painless, early stage of periodontal disease is characterized by inflammation and bleeding of the gums. Gingivitis is an infection that requires the removal of tartar (hardened plaque) which can only be completely removed by a Dental Professional.

Periodontitis occurs when a bacterial infection spreads and destroys the gum and bone that support the tooth. This more severe stage of periodontal disease often leads to tooth loss.

Daily use of PerioMed, along with the treatment provided by our dental professionals, will help reduce gum inflammation, control bleeding gums, help reduce sensitivity, aid in remineralization, and provide protection from tooth decay.
